DRACULA: Romantic, Gothic, Horror Story
Dear
Students,
Since you
are familiar with the "Twilight Saga" I thought we should analyze the
original vampire story "Dracula" by Bram Stoker.
Please read
the first 200 pages of "Dracula" until 9.03.2017. You can find the
book as PDF version here:
http://www.planetebook.com/ebooks/Dracula.pdf
or if you
want to purchase it as a published book you can get the Macmillan Version from
Homerkitapevi in Beyoğlu:
http://www.homerbooks.com/6340/
PLEASE DO
NOT WATCH THE FILM: I am not going to prepare the Midterm questions from the
movies.
Enjoy the
book!

The Great Gatsby- American Dream, Jazz Age and the Roaring Twenties
Dear Students,
Let us start with John Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby. It will give us a nice idea about the classic American novel and the Jazz Age. It is easy to read so I want you to read at least 60 pages until our class on 16.02. I want you to imagine and symphatize with the characters while reading, so DO NOT EVER NEVER WATCH THE FILM until we end analyzng the novel.
You can find the book here:
